    SELIDUMELA emasumpeni ngamaholide kaKhisimusi, lokho kufakazelwa yizikhangiso zezimpahla ezahlukene ezitolo. Nabapheki sebeqalile ukukhangisa ezinkundleni zokuxhumana kulabo abafisa ukuphekelwa, bangagqilazeki ngoKhisimusi. Abaningi benza lokho ngoba benenkolelo yokuthi isikhathi samaholide kaZibandlela (Dece-mber) ngesokuphumula, esokubona izihlobo nabangani. Abapheki abaningi basebenzisa usuku lukaKhisimusi njengolokwenza imali njengoba sekuvamile ukuthi – ngalezi zikhathi zonyaka – eminye imindeni iqashe umuntu ozoyiphekela izibiliboco. 

    ILANGA lixoxe noSindi Mthethwa waseMlazi ongumnikazi weDelish Indulgence Catering, othi isikhathi samaholide simatasa kakhulu. Uveze ukuthi kuyimanje isibalo sabantu azobaphekela ngoKhisimusi sesanele, akasathathi muntu. 

    “Iningi lamakhasimende ami kuba ngomakoti abasebancane. Mhlawumbe komunye uthole ukuthi uKhisimusi uzodlelwa emzini wakhe, aqoke ukuthi simphekele. Kwabanye uthola ukuthi umuntu upheka yedwa kubo, abanye bamatasa nokuthi bazogqokani balungisa izinzipho namakhanda. Kuyothi kuqambe kushaya isikhathi sokudla, akasakwazi nokukuthokozela ngoba ukhathele,” esho. 

    BAYASITHAKASELA ISANDLA SOMUNYE UMUNTU

    “Ngaphezu kwalokho, abantu bayakuthanda ukudla okuphekwe ngomunye umuntu nokudla into eyehlukile futhi enhle. Nginenkolelo yokuthi ukudla kumele ukudle ngamehlo ngaphambi kokuzwa ukuthi kunambitheka kanjani,” kuchaza uSindi. 

    Uthi uba ne-menu eyodwa yangoKhisimusi ezoba yi-3 course meal. Ikhasimende liyazilandela ukudla endaweni aphekela kuyona, kodwa kusuke kusezitsheni ezilahlwayo (foil container). Uthi eminyakeni edlule abanye bebecela ukuba abadekele itafula, kodwa ngenxa yokuthi abanye badla sekuhambe isikhathi, bekwenza nabamsizayo bagcine bengakwazanga ukuchitha isikhathi nemindeni yabo. 

    ABANYE BENQENA UKUPHEKA

    USanelisiwe Zungu weDelicious Meals by Sane, uthe sewungenile kwabamnyama umkhuba wokucela ukuphekelwa ngoKhisimusi. 

    “Abanye basuke bengakwazi ukupheka kanti abanye basuke bethanda ukudla okwehlukile, futhi bengathandi ukuzigqilaza,” kusho le ntokazi yase-Adams, eThekwini. Uthi ujwayele ukwenza ama-menu amabili, eyokudla okwejwayekile (traditional menu), okuba yi-beef noma i-chicken curry, ehambisana nama-salad ne-roast chicken noma i-gammon

Abanye baye bacele ukuba sibadilivele, bakhokhe. Abanye bazilandela mathupha. Kokunye, omunye uye athande ukuthi simenzele yonke into. Kunekhasimende elicele ukuba ngile-nzele konke ngoba lizobe lisebenza ngoKhisimusi, lifuna ukwenzela umndeni walo obungakulindele.”

    Ngenxa yokuthi imindeni kayilingani, uthi wenza isidlo sabantu abawu-4 kuye phezulu.

    “Ngenxa yokuthi nginesandla esandisayo, lokho kudla kugcina kwanela ngisho abantu abawu-8 noma kusale, kudliwe nasebusuku kwabanye,” esho.
