ILANGA “Win-a-Car” readers competition
The competition opens on Monday 16 August 2021 and ends on 14 November 2021.
The total prize pool is a new Haval H1 car valued at R203 000 and R40 000 worth of BOXER grocery vouchers.
Prizes broken down as follows –
o Grand prize – Brand new Haval H1 vehicle & R5 000 Boxer vouchers
o 3x runners up – R5 000 each Boxer vouchers (R15 000 total)
o 8x Monthly winners – R2 500 each Boxer vouchers (R20 000 total)
To enter a reader must complete the entry form published in ILANGA by sticking 6 entry tokens onto the entry form which is 1 entry. The tokens will be found in each of the ILANGA editions published until Thursday 9 December 2021.
Only original entry forms and tokens will be accepted as valid entries – no copies, photocopies of digital copies will be accepted.
Readers are use the following mechanisms to deliver their competed entry from to ILANGA:
o Post to ILANGA – PO Box 2159, Durban, 4001 (please be aware of postal delays),
o Drop off at the ILANGA offices – 19 Timeball Boulevard, Point Waterfront, Durban
o Drop them into the entry boxes at selected BOXER stores across KZN – list below
The more entries you get, the greater your chance of winning.
By submitting a completed entry form you are accepting all the rules of this competition.
There will be four (4) draws in total, as follows –
o By end September – 3x R2 500 voucher winner
o By end October – 3x R2 500 voucher winner
By 10 November – 2x R2 500 voucher winner
o 2 December – 4x Grand finalists, for Haval car & R20 000 vouchers
Each draw will be done by means of a lucky draw out of all valid entries received and will be conducted by the ILANGA Editor under the supervision of a selected Auditor
The competition is open to all citizens of South Africa who are 18 years of age or over, except for the members, shareholders, directors, employees, partners, agents and consultants (and their respective life partners, business partners and immediate families) of:
o ILANGA Newspaper and Mandla-Matla Publishing,
o Boxer Group, and
o CMH Haval Pinetown
he four (4) main prize finalists will be,
o announced live on the ILANGA Facebook page once the relevant draw has been audited and confirmed, and
o The names will be published in ILANGA and on the ILANGA website & Facebook page.
o The final prizegiving is planned for 10 December 2021 but this is subject to change.
o A random key selection and key/car lock matching mechanism will determine the final winner out of the four (4) finalists.
o Prizes may not be transferred or exchanged for cash or for any other goods or services.
o The final vehicle prize might differ from the picture of the vehicle used in all marketing material.
o All the BOXER vouchers will be issued electronically via the BOXER voucher website with codes being sent via SMS to the winners selected cell phone numbers.
o The final Car winner must allow ILANGA a reasonable period to arrange for the car to be registered, licensed in their respective names.
o They must provide ILANGA with all information and original documentation required for this purpose, including an identity document, together with a driver’s licence, and a valid proof of residence.
o The name & picture of the ILANGA “Win-a-car” winner will be published in ILANGA ,on the ILANGA website (www.ilanganews.co.za), of the ILANGA Facebook page and on social media.
o By accepting the prize, the winner of the ILANGA “Win-a-car” competition agree that ILANGA may use their names and pictures for any future marketing material by ILANGA in print and digital media.
o The decisions of ILANGA and its judges are final and may not be challenged. No correspondence will be entertained.
