ISIGABA sokukhula kwabesifazane esibizwa nge-menopause, sifika nezinselelo eziningi. 

Phakathi kwazo singabala ukungabi manzi ngendlela ejwayelekile esithweni sangasese, wukushiselwa esithubeni nenkinga yokuqwasha ebusuku.

IYINI I-MENOPAUSE?

“Yisigaba owesifazane afinyelela kusona uma ekhula lapho amaqanda esuke engasayikhiqizi ngendlela ejwayelekile i-hormone ebizwa nge-oestrogen

   “Lokhu kuba nomthelela othile emzimbeni wowesifazane,” esho.

Uthi ngokwejwayelekile, lesi sigaba siqala kusukela eminyakeni ewu-47 kuya kwewu-51 futhi kungenzeka siqale kwewu-45. 

Nokho uthi uma siqale ngaphambi kokuba umuntu ahlanganise iminyaka ewu-47 ubudala, sibizwa nge-early menopause.

USHINTSHO OLUZA NE-MENOPAUSE

“Esikhathini esiningi osefike kulesi sigaba uba nokushiselwa kusukela entanyeni kuya ebusweni (hot flushes), kokunye kube nanomjuluko. 

   “Nokho kuba yinto yesikhashana bese umzimba ubuyela ekushiseni okwejwayelekile,” kusho uDkt Lubelwana.

Uqhube ngokuthi ukoma kwesitho sangasese, wukuphelelwa wubuthongo, wukukhathala nokukhohlwa ngezinye zezimpawu zokugasela kwalesi sigaba sokukhula. 

“Okunye kuba wukukhathala kwamathambo, kube lula ukuphathwa yisifo senhliziyo nokungaphatheki kahle emoyeni,” kusho yena.

I-menopause ingeza noshintsho endleleni umzimba obubukeka ngayo, njengokukhuluphala.

“Amafutha asabalala ngendlela eyehlukile bese uyakhuluphala, ikakhulukazi esiswini,” esho.

UNGASIZAKALA KANJANI?

Yize kunalezi zinkinga ezibalwayo ngokufika kulesi sigaba sokukhula, uDkt Lubelwana uthi lukhona usizo. 

   Uthi uma kungaba wukoma kwesitho sangasese kuphela okukuhluphayo, ungasebenzisa izigcobiso ezithambisayo (lubricants).

“Lokhu kuwuketshezi olutholakala ekhemisi olusiza ukuba kuphele ubugwadule, bese kuba bushelelezi, ukwazi ukuzithokozisa kamnandi nangenkonzo yasekamelweni.

“Kanti ngale kwasekamelweni, ungathenga isithambisi (moisturizer) ongasigcobisa ngaphandle uma kudingekile. 

“Ugcobisa emlonyeni wesitho sangasese, hhayi ngaphakathi kusona. 

“Kodwa uma ufuna ukugcobisela ubugwadule uma wenza inkonzo yasekamelweni, udinga ukusebenzisa ama-lubricant,” echaza.

IZINHLOBO ZOKUTHAMBISA

Kunezinhlobo ezahlukene zama-lubricant. Kukhona i-oil based, i-water based ne-silicone based.  

6 Le yamafutha (oil based) ihlala isikhathi eside, kasikho isidingo sokulokhu uyigcoba njalo, ingaphinde isetshenziswe futhi nakuma-sex toys.

6 Eyamanzi (water based) isebenza kalula, kodwa iyashesha ukoma, ngakho-ke

 idinga ukulokhu igcotshiswa njalo. Iyasetshenziswa ndawonye 

ne-condom.

6 I-silicone yona ihlala isikhathi eside nayo. kayigcotshiswa njalo njenge-water based lubricant, kepha kumele uqaphele uma 

usebenzisa ama-sex toys ngoba iyawagugisa.

LALELA UMZIMBA WAKHO

UDkt Lubelwana uthi kubalulekile ukuba abesifazane balalele imizimba yabo.

“Qinisekisa ukuthi ulalela umzimba wakho, uma kukhona okungajwayelekile, bonana nodokotela noma uvakashele umtholampilo. 

“Ungahlali nenkinga engelapheka, ikakhulukazi izimpawu zokungakwazi ukubamba umchamo nokoma kwesitho sangasese okungaze kwenze nokuthi inkonzo yasekamelweni ungabe usayithokozela,” kusho uDkt Lubelwana.

Uphethe ngokuthi kubalulekile ukwamukela lesi sigaba sempilo. Uma kukhona okukuphatha kabi, uncoma ukuthi owesifazane abonane nodokotela wakhe.
