UDOKOTELA wezengqondo ugcizelela ukubaluleka kokuxhumana nokusondelana nabathandiweyo ukubabuza ngesimo sabo sempilo, lokhu kungenziwa kuphela ngoba nakhu umuntu esegula.
Lapha uDkt Manqoba Myeni ubekhuthaza lokhu njengoba ngoLwesibili (mhla ka-10 kuMandulo – September) bekuyiWorld Suicide Prevention Day, lapho kusuke kuqwashiswa khona ngabantu abazibulalayo. Kubikwa ukuthi iNingizimu Afrika ingunombolo 10 ohlwini lwamazwe anesibalo esiphezulu sabantu abazibulalayo. Esibalweni sabantu abawu-13 774 abazibulalayo eNingizimu Afrika, abawu-10 861 ngamadoda, kuthi abawu-2 913 kube ngabesifazane ngokombiko okhishwe yiSouth African Society of Psychiatrists.
Kakubona bonke abamemezelayo uma bezozibulala
UDkt Myeni ungudokotela ogxile kakhulu kwizigulo zengqondo kanti usebenzela eDurdoc Center, eThekwini. Uthi ukuzibulala kwabaningi kusuke kuwuphawu lwezigulo zengqondo, kusuke kunokuphazamiseka okuthile emqondweni.
“Kuba nezimpawu lapho othola khona ukuthi umuntu uyashintsha, athande ukuba yedwa, angakhulumi. Omunye asho ukuthi uzozibulala. Nokho lokho kakusho ukuthi yibo bonke abantu abazibulalayo abamemezelayo uma sebefuna ukuqeda ngempilo yabo,” echaza.
Kungagwemeka ukuzibulala
Uthi ukuzibulala kuyinto egwemekayo kodwa lokho kakusho ukuthi wonke umuntu anganqandeka. “Omunye ungamenzela konke, aye esibhedlela, athole ukwelulekwa ngama-psychologist, athole nemithi yokumelapha kodwa ekugcineni azibulale. Lokho kusho ukuthi kakusiye wonke umuntu ongamvimba.
“Kanti abanye bona basuke bengahlosile ukuzibulala kepha kuyindlela yokutshengisa ukuthi badinga usizo. Isibonelo, mhlawumbe omunye angasebenzisa into engenabo ubungozi kakhulu – lokho kukutshengisa ukuthi ufuna usizo,” kuchaza uDkt Myeni.
Kakufanele umuntu ayekelelwe esebunzimeni
UDkt Myeni uthi into eyenza isibalo samadoda azibulalayo aphumelele yingoba asebenzisa izindlela eziyingozi okungaba wukuzithanqaza ebhilidini, ukuzidubula nokunye. “Abesilisa kabafuni ukukhuluma, bayenqena ukufuna usizo,” esho.
Uthi kubalulekile ukuba abantu bahlale njalo ngokuxhumana futhi besekane nabasondelene nabo.
“Kumele sisondelane nabantu esibathandayo ukuze sibone lapho sekunoshintsho kubona. Sibuzane impilo, thina abamnyama kasejwayele ukwenza lokho – sibuza umuntu uma egula kuphela. Umuntu kakumele ayekelelwe uma ebhekene nobunzima, kumele nilandelele.
Kumqoka ukuthola usizo kusenesikhathi
Ezinye izinhlanga ziyabuzana ukuthi sihamba kanjani isimo sempilo, zibuzane nangokomoya ukuthi kungabe konke kuhamba kahle yini,” esho. Ukhuthaza ukucelwa kosizo uma umuntu ezizwa enomzwangedwa kakhulu, ohambisana nengcindezi.
“Singabantu kumele sazi ukuthi kakuyona into embi ukufuna usizo, kawuyi kwi-psychologist ngoba ugula ngengqondo. Ukushesha usukume uthole usizo, kungagwema izinkinga eziningi. Uma kusukunywe kusenesikhathi kungagwemeka nokuthi uze ufike ko-depression, inkinga itholelwe isixazululo isaqala,” kuphetha uDkt Myeni.
